Rear-seat passengers can also separately control the electrical heater in the rear footwells while the optional, extended rear air conditioning comprises a dedicated compressor to improve cooling performance.

Active seats are also available whereby the seat bottom moving up and down intermittently to mobilise the occupant's muscles around the hips and lumbar spine to prevent any feeling of cramp or fatigue.

The optional folding tables provide additional comfort when travelling in the rear of the BMW 7 Series long version. The work surfaces integrated in the backs of the driver and passenger seats come with an exclusive soft nappa leather finish and provide plenty of room for literature or a laptop.
